We know how important it is to give our students hands on learning. As part of a PSHE & Design Technology study, our Primary visited Viridor Recycling & Waste Management Solutions. There, they learnt all about the environment and undertook a range of tricky tasks that helped them learn about the world around us - and how much it needs us!

Engaging with students and community groups helps raise understanding of the need to bring resources to life. Teaching children about recycling from a young age means that it is more likely to become normal behaviour in adulthood.

This is why Viridor invite schools, colleges and community groups to learn in thier interactive environmental visitor centres at their facilities across the UK. Like Slindon College; they help promote better understanding and best practice in waste reduction, reuse, recycling, recovery, resource management and sustainability.
