Parents' Association

Slindon College is fortunate to have an active and supportive Parent's Association. The Association is a structure through which parents/guardians can work together for the best possible education for their children. Slindon College Parents' Association do this by fundraising or volunteering at events. The College is committed to the involvement of parents in schools as we believe children achieve more when parents and teachers work together.

Each parent in the Association gives up their time to be on the committee and each member is extremely valuable to the success of the PA as a whole whether through volunteering or fundraising.

The British Heart Foundation - London to Brighton Bike Ride

This June members of Slindon College PA along with staff, teachers and the local community will be taking part in The British Heart Foundation: London to Brighton Bike Ride. They will be raising funds for both BHF and Slindon College PA to fund equipment and develop the facilities for Slindon College pupils.

The 54 mile ride, which is now in it's 45th year, starts at Clapham Common and meanders through Surrey and Sussex with the finish line at Brighton Beach. The route could take anywhere between 6 to 10 hours to complete, with a few inclines to tackle. Ditchling Beacon is one such feat: the third highest point in the South Downs. Up to 15,000 cyclists take part, in groups or as individuals.

This year the Slindon Riders also include Slindon College teachers:

Mr Birkbeck Mr Dickinson
Mr Belcher Ms Middleton
Mr Williams Mr Saysell

Other riders include: Caroline Robinson (parent) and her partner Andy Baldwin as seen below training on their tandem bicycle!

Slindon College wishes everyone involved lots of luck!
