Performing Arts Hall of Fame!

An inspiration for future pupils!
From today, visitors to our Drama Department will be able to have a look at our new Hall of Fame corridor, featuring our talented pupils from the last eleven years, since the inclusion of our Performing Arts Department. It will continue to be added too.
Slindon College has become known for its summer promenade productions, which see audiences walk our stunning National Trust grounds, following the plays on foot. Performances also traditionally form part of our Christmas Carol Service each year. For the first time in 2026, our Year 11 pupils will head into our local community with a mystery-themed play to be performed at Coronation Hall in nearby Slindon Village.
From Pinocchio (our very first School Play in 2014) to Treasure Island (2017) to Oz The Great and Terrible (2025), come be inspired by pupils gone by, now immortalised on the wall at Slindon College!
The Performing Arts Department was developed in 2013 by Mr Bentley-Angell (now Head of Performing Arts), following high pupil engagement within English sessions. Since starting up Drama, he has written and directed all the plays at the College, supported by a mix of staff through the years.
The department now includes Music led by Mrs Seaby (Head of Richmond), and in KS4 there are Trinity Music Exams and LAMDA Acting Exams, where every pupil recently earned distinctions across the board.
Mr Bentley-Angell said:
"The power of performance to shape confidence and build friendships is invaluable at our College, many of the pupils having very specific needs.
The Performing Arts have continued to be a positive force for eleven years. Aside from this, the learning of the technicalities of acting as a skill; reading; perfecting lines and stage presence can be transformative. I continue to be proud of our pupils, past and present, and especially of the mark the department has had the opportunity to gift."
