Slindon College pupils at Chichester Festival Theatre for Christmas

Some of our pupils are members of CFYT

Mrs Vlahodimou (Headteacher) and Mr Bentley-Angell (Head of Performing Arts & CFYT Alumni) were thrilled to see our talented pupils (past and present) on stage, above the stage and behind the scenes in 'A Boy Called Christmas.'

This was part of a Gala Celebration to commemorate 40 Years of Chichester Festival Youth Theatre, led by Dale Rooks MBE (Director), Kathy Bourne (President of UK Theatre), Justin Audibert (CFT Director) and Jess Brown-Fuller (MP for Chichester).

CFT seats 1300, and the show runs from December 15th until 31st at the world-renowned theatre. These were fantastic opportunities strongly encouraged by Slindon College, and we were bawled over by the talent!

The Chichester Festival Youth Theatre (CFYT) is an award-winning, nationwide youth program run by the Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT) offering workshops in drama, dance, singing, musical theatre, and technical theatre, acting as a creative, inclusive, and supportive community where young people develop skills, build confidence, and find their voice with industry professionals, with sessions across West Sussex and beyond. It's one of the UK's largest youth theatre programs, providing crucial arts education and life skills. It offers pathways and opportunities beyond traditional schooling, fostering growth for future endeavours.
