School Play 2026: "...bringing the very best out in our boys!"

"Absolutely brilliant and something I will always remember"

Parents, staff and pupils alike gathered in the Coronation Hall, Slindon to see the pupils of Slindon College like they have never been seen before.

As part of an immersive theatre experience, which featured murder boards, audience 'Evidence' packs and dynamic staging, the 8 cast members wowed with both their comedic and devastatingly haunting performances, which tugged at heartstrings and shocked watchers. The play featured everything you can expect from a Year 11only production; emotionally intense scenes and even a fight.

The actors are all part of the LAMDA group at Slindon College, every one receiving 'Distinction' in the most recent exams in 2025. The perfect group to tackle a more demanding play which for the first time, did not take place on College grounds, and was 1hr 20min of pure dialogue.

The cast featured: Matthew, Declan, Jago, George, Ethan, David, Samuel & Adam (KS4) with vocal performances from Freddie (KS4) & Davi (KS3). Robert (KS4) operated the sound for the play.

Slindon College has become known for its drama productions, and the play was once again directed, produced and adapted by Mr Bentley-Angell (Head of Performing Arts).

Assistant direction was provided by Mrs Johnson (Cover LSA), and for the first time, a full set was required, which was designed and built by Mr Flint (Design Technology LSA) and set-dressed by Mrs Lucas (Head of Prep.)

Mr Bentley-Angell said:

"I am incredibly proud of these pupils, and never fail to be amazed by their hard work, talent and teamwork. They have had rave reviews, which is a testament to their mature acting choices and professionalism. Many have dyslexia and social and communication difficulties, and the play serves as no better proof of their amazing learning journey at Slindon College."

We would like to also thank our wonderful parents for helping with costumes, and other staff vital to it's success.
