Slindon College Greenpower Team Qualifies for the International Final and will be visited by two staff from a Spanish Greenpower team the day after!
We’re thrilled to announce that Slindon College’s Greenpower team has qualified for the prestigious International Greenpower Final, set to take place at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit on Sunday, 18th October.
Competing against top teams from across the UK and Europe, both of our electric race cars delivered outstanding performances.
• ‘Burby’ secured a 3nd place finish at Goodwood Motor Circuit in May and another 3rd place finish in September at Dunsfold Park.
• ‘Lightning 1’ claimed an impressive 6th place and the fastest lap time in September at Dunsfold Park.
These great results have earned both cars a well-deserved spot in the final.
We invite all pupils, families, and supporters to join us at Goodwood Motor Circuit for a free, action-packed day of racing and fun. Come cheer on the team and witness the exciting world of sustainable motorsport in action!
On Monday 19th October, two staff members of Greenpower from the technical college CIFP Fadura LHII situated in the Basque country, in the north of Spain will be visiting Slindon College’s Greenpower team, to learn about the Greenpower experience in the UK.
The Greenpower initiative at Slindon College is led by Mr Burbidge, Head of Design Technology.
