Sixth Form Afternoon Tea a huge hit!

The Dining room was transformed for the very first Sixth Form Afternoon Tea last Friday, as our talented students worked as a team to complete the final assessment for their Employability Skills course, providing good customer service. Each student had a role to play, from restaurant owner, host to Barman, waiters and chefs.

The four students who prepared the food were George Angell, Reece Dutfield, Bertie Pearce and Charlie O'Brien, all of whom had completed an Educare Training Course in Food Preparation and worked tirelessly to produce a buffet for the invited parents and teachers to enjoy. Jaz Still, our restaurant manager, not only designed the advertising campaign, but also worked hard with fellow Sixth Former hosts Sola Alayande and Josh Dixon to provide an excellent front of house service; while Patrick Bridger served as our barman for the afternoon.

The money donated by staff and parents went to the Cancer Research charity. The Employability Skills course is led by Mrs Joanne Middleton, Head of Sixth Form.
