A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol Service!

Final day Christmas celebrations at Slindon College
Christmas is celebrated in style at Slindon College, with our beautiful National Trust building dazzling with festive cheer, courtesy of our fabulous decorations prepared in part by our own Housekeeping Team.
Grimm Fairy Tales at St. Mary's Church, Slindon
A huge congratulations to the cast of our traditional Christmas Carol Service (with a twist) this year, who led a fun-filled final morning at nearby St. Mary's Church, Slindon with our local vicar, Reverend Peter Dyson.
Visitors enjoyed traditional, and some non-traditional carols with religious readings and lessons provided by our Senior Pupil Team, Austin (Head Boy) with prefects Fraser (Richmond House), Jago (Cowdray House), Matthew (Sussex House) and Arthur (Norfolk House).
Freddie (KS4) beautifully narrated two classic fairy tales: 'The Old Man and the Christmas Turkey' and 'The Elves and the Shoemaker.' Lead characters this year also included Harry (KS3), William (KS3), Davi (KS3), Freddie (KS3) and Archie (KS4).

The event was written and directed by Mr Bentley-Angell (Head of Performing Arts) supported by his team Mrs Seaby (Music) and Mrs Johnson. There was also a staff choir, with Mrs Miles (Assistant Head Teacher) and Mr Burbidge (Head of DT) on support.

Competition Winners
Our English poetry prize this year went to Matthew (KS4) who also performed his terrific piece in the church. Our Christmas cake competition was won by Adam (KS4). The cake can be seen on our social media pages.
Christmas Fair at the College
We rounded the term off with a fantastic Christmas Fair to raise money for our House charities, supported by our brilliant FOSC with crafts, games and prizes to be won!
Mrs Vlahodimou (Headteacher) said:
"I would like to thank all of our parents, carers, pupils and staff for contributing to a wonderful final day of term. I never fail to be impressed by the talent on display. A very merry Christmas to you all!"
