World Theatre Day

The Senior Leadership Team were treated to a special performance by the Drama Club on World Theatre Day

At Slindon College we firmly celebrate the transferable skills developed in our Drama lessons, which have been part of KS3 since 2014 and since 2017 with LAMDA in KS4 & KS5. These skills are:

- Communication

- Confidence

- Teamwork and leadership

- Listening and responding

- Creativity

- Critical thinking and problem-solving

- Time management

As part of World Theatre Day, the Senior Leadership Team were treated to a special performance from the Drama Club who performed 'The Golden Goose,' a 20 minute show in our comfy-sized Theatre in our Drama Studio, complete with lighting, stage and wings.

The students 'broke the fourth wall' as during the show, the adults had to race around the school stuck to the goose as well as perform a joke on stage!

Well done to the cast: Matthew, Adam, Ethan & Luis (Year 8), George (Year 10) and a special thank you to Brandon (Sixth Form) who stepped in at the last minute! The students even had to organise their own lighting cues!

The event was organised by Mr Bentley-Angell & Mrs Seaby (Performing Arts Team).
